Places of power in Dragon Age: Origins are elements of a side quest, according to which the player must leave marks of a half-forgotten magician in certain places and remind the world of his power. The storyline does not change, but promises a good reward. The quest will be discussed in the article.

The essence of the task
On the way to the Circle Tower near Calenhad Lake, the hero comes across a bag from the community of magicians. On it is a letter from the sorcerer Krebulash Epithet, in which he is instructed to leave marks at four points.
It's hard to say why the old sorcerer needs this: to remind himself of himself or to feed his vital and magical forces.
After accepting the quest in Dragon Age: Origins, the places of power will be marked on the maps, and the runes will be moved to the backpack. There are four such points in total, the locations are indicated in the letter.
Difficulties will not cause: no battles with demons, ritual sacrifices and cleansing of forests from the creatures of darkness. Only perseverance and attentiveness: not everywhere the necessary points are marked in any way and you can find themhover.

Search for places of power
The passage of Dragon Age: Origins provides the opportunity to stumble upon the desired locations in order:
- The first one will drop in the Circle Tower, in the central Student Room next to the chair and stairs to the second floor.
- On the Deep Roads in the teig of the Ortan house - in the southeast corner by the river, not far from the Altar of Separation (found as part of the quest "To Pieces").
- West Bressiliana - next to the headstone. A wrong gesture will summon powerful undead from the grave.
- Heart of Denerim, Elvenage - the place is located at the roots of a tree (ornate mark, similar to a Rorschach stain). To activate, you need to silently pass a group of beggars, otherwise the quest may not be counted.
After completing places of power in Dragon Age: Origins, the squad receives a reward from the quest giver in the form of 2 gold coins and 175 experience points.
It makes no sense to travel only to locations where energy points are found, the Gray Guardian will visit all places as part of the passage of the main storyline:
- Deep Roads - as part of a journey to the dwarves to fulfill an ancient contract.
- Circle Tower - to find the first sorcerer Irving and clear the place of invading demons.
- Bressilian - to bring the elves to the side of the Gray Wardens.
- Elfinage - to investigate mysterious events related to the disappearance of local residents.

Possibledifficulties
There is a bug in the Elvenage: if the squad encounters beggars, a dialogue scene will start, after which it is impossible to return to the tree. Therefore, it is important to pass by.
Another bug is observed in some versions of Dragon Age: Origins - the place of power at the roots is activated, but the quest does not count. The solution is to alternately touch the point by all members of the squad. To do this, line them up near a tree, press pause and give a command by pointing the mouse at the place.
The first three points can be found immediately, but the location with the tree opens after receiving the quest "Unrest in the Elvenage".

Conclusion
The quest does not play a significant role and does not change the storyline when passing the game Dragon Age: Origins. Places of power no longer appear, because the task is performed by hunters for gold coins - a rarity, even one is considered we alth.
They can be used to purchase unique equipment, powerful weapons or strong runes.
In contrast to finding places of power, there are more profitable ways to earn money in Dragon Age: Origins: for example, the aforementioned quest "To Pieces" will bring guards 25 gold if the monster leaves in peace.
There is a workaround: kill the demon, collect 25 gold from the corpse and summon again (by gathering a squad around the pedestal and activating one by one). If all party members have pets and choose a reward, you can earn about 100 gold coins on the demon and stock up on rare equipment from the nearest major merchant.
Dragon Age: Originsinteresting not for the economy, but for graphics and storytelling: a dizzying plot is closely intertwined with game mechanics, dialogues and actions affect further events, the hero has to make deals with his conscience and look for an approach to each companion.

Against the background of such opportunities, the desire to chase profit and look for some places of power is lost. In Dragon Age: Origins, the Gray Warden can have an affair with a beautiful companion: if this is Morrigan, then the event will affect not only the ending, but also the plot of the additions and the following parts of the series (Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisition).
According to the standard development of events, the battle with the Archdemon will end with the death of the Gray Guardian. If there was an affair with Morrigan, and the player agrees to an unusual ritual at the end, then the sorceress will be able to save the hero's life.
