By default, English and Russian alphabets are pre-installed for working in text editors, however, there is a possibility
adding any other language to the language bar. For those who do not know how to change the language in the computer menu, this article will be a practical guide.
Standard "hot" keys responsible for changing the language - Alt+Shift (and you can change this combination at your discretion in the Control Panel). There is also another way to change the language - using the language bar located in the lower right corner of the display, to switch, just click on it and select the desired language in the displayed list.
If necessary, add an additional language to the keyboard layout, perform the following operation: Start, then Control Panel, select the "Languages" section from the listand regional standards", then the "Language and keyboard" tab and see the option "Change keyboard layout". Click on this button and go to the menu for managing the text input language, select the "Add" item and select the desired option from the list, save the changes. Now a new icon has been added to the language bar menu.
In some cases it is necessary to change the language of not only the input, but the entire system,
that is, so that all dialogs, context menus, shortcuts, Windows wizards become foreign languages. Why do you need to do this? It happens that when you install some programs, the language packs already on your computer are replaced with newer versions. However, it is not always guaranteed that new packages support the Russian language. Or an even more common situation: on computers with pre-installed Windows 7, the interface menu is usually in English, it is the user's task to bring it to its usual form. Let's figure out how to change the language in Windows 7.
To do this, go to the menu Languages and regional standards already known to us and select the "Advanced" tab, then "Change system language", here you should select the desired language and "OK" to save, after which you need to reboot the system.
A small nuance: you can change the language of Windows 7 not in all versions, but only in the top ones: Ultimate and Corporate. What if you have a more economical edition installed? How to change the language in this case: firstly, with the help of an additional installation of languagepackages, secondly, through Windows Update updates.
To install updates, you need to select Languages and keyboard Set language in the Languages and Regional settings menu, here we will be prompted to select the installation method, click Windows Update, then it remains to tick the desired option and wait for the installation process to complete. You must restart your computer before changing the language.
You can download individual LIP language packs from the official Microsoft website, however, they are only a translation version of the most commonly used interface dialogs, the rest of the sections will be displayed in English.
