A team called G2 Esports entered the international arena in 2015. In a short time, the G2 CS:GO roster entered the ranking of the strongest teams in the world.
History of creation and development
As mentioned earlier, the G2 team was formed and played their first matches against other teams in 2015. Initially, the name Gamers 2 was chosen, and the team was recruited not only from the French, but also from citizens of other countries.
The first G2 roster included players like:
- Scream.
- Fox.
- Dennis.
- Rain.
- Maikelele.
Together with the release of the team to the international level, a team of promotion managers took care of it. They got the entire esports industry talking about G2.
In 2015, ScreaM left G2 and joined the Titans. In the same year, the team made a small rebranding, after which it took the name G2 Esports.
The very first international roster is the most memorable in esports, as it was able to win 3rd place in such a tournament as DreamHack 2015. In January of the following year, the FaZe Clan organization took the G2 team to itself and gave it 700 thousand dollars. G2 Roster Achievements
This team has proven since its inception that the world's eSports will have to reckon with them anyway. From the first fights, G2 showed excellent results and is still in the TOP teams in CS:GO.
From the moment of its creation to 2017, the team took part in 14 international tournaments and won only prizes in them. During its existence, G2 has earned over $470k from winning competitions and $700k from joining the FaZe Clan organization.
During their fights, the line-up is the bestshowed itself on the map called Cobblestone, and the team's least effective battles took place on the Overpass map, but this did not stop them from taking prizes in all the ongoing championships.
